The Genesis E310 is well-liked for the three separately controlled burners, and an enclosed cart to store the propane tank. Grilling is easy with the Weber Genesis E310, that comes with a built-in commercial-grade thermometer and a warming rack. Unlike gas grills that used messy lava rock that is likely to flare up, the Genesis E-310 uses an arrangement of metal bars angled to distribute heat and channel drippings away from the food. This design makes for easier clean-up, and fewer flare-ups. Consumers have called the Genesis design “pure perfection” and a “griller‘s dream“.

Compare the Genesis E310 and S310 Models

The Weber Genesis grills are available in the E model and S model. In comparison the Genesis E and S model grills have several things in common:

  • E and S models have three stainless steel burners
  • Both have a Crossover ignition system
  • The ignition works electronically to light the grill without pushing a button
  • Both E and S models are easy to use and easy to clean
  • Both offer a great design and even heating throughout the grill time

There is little difference in the E-models and the S310 and S320. They basically have the same features, but the S models feature an stainless steel cooking grates.

  • The Weber Genesis E310 offers Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates.
  • The Weber Genesis S310 offers 7mm diameter stainless steel rod cooking grates

Flavorizer bars

  • The E310 model offers porcelain-enameled Flavorizer® bars.
  • The S-310 model offers stainless steel Flavorizer® bars.

Color options

  • The E310 is available in colors of black, green, and copper (black only for natural gas models).
  • The S310 is available only in silver stainless steel.

The Weber Genesis S310 is essentially the grill as the E-310, but it is all stainless steel.

Genesis E310 vs. Genesis E320 – What’s the Difference?

The Genesis E310 model has a side table instead of a side burner. If you need a side burner, consider upgrading to the E-320 model. Many people don’t use a side burner, and this is the only feature that distinguishes the Weber Genesis E320 from the Weber Genesis E310. For this reason, the same reviews apply for both grills when considering purchase. Many charcoal-style grill users avoid buying gas grills, thinking charcoal cooking taste better. In reality, taste tests have revealed that there is no significant flavor difference between food cooked with gas and that cooked with charcoal. On the other hand, a gas grill is ready when you turn it on, easy to clean, and no ashes to dump.

Features of the Weber Genesis E310 Grill

Other features on the E310 include:

  • Six tool holders
  • An accurate fuel gauge
  • A grilling cookbook is included
  • Porcelain-coated, cast-iron grates that heat consistently
  • Grill is stable and easy to assemble
  • Plenty of shelf space

You Get What You Pay For

Maybe you are considering a cheaper grill. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. In lower priced grills, the gas may come out too quickly, and with the automatic lighter, you can easily blow your head off. Oops! Lower price is lower quality and these grills tend to break down after a few seasons. Other issues are that the cooking grates may not heat consistently, and they are hard to clean. Weber grills may cost a little more up front, but are well-worth the money for easy-cleaning, no-stress, quality grilling that won‘t wear out after a few seasons. The average price for the E310 model runs about $750, but this is more of an investment than a cost because Weber grills are built to last. It is recommended that you buy the custom Weber Premium Cover to prolong the life of your grill.

Warranties and Customer Service

Even without the cover, Weber stands behind all of its products. The company backs up the Genesis E-310 with a 10-year limited warranty on the burner tubes. Other parts are covered under warranty from two to twenty-five years. Weber also offers 24-hour customer service. If you order your grill from Amazon.com, not only are you going to get a great price, but you will also add a second layer to your customer service experience.
