As we consider the Weber Summit grill as the “top of the line” gas grills, next in line is the E-620. Keeping with Weber’s tendency, the E-620 gas grill is offered in two versions:
- Model 7321001 – Liquid Propane (LP)
- Model 7421001 – Natural Gas (NG)
Either version has a capacity of 693 square inches of primary cooking area and 145 square inches in a warming rack, giving a total cooking area of 838 square inches.
The E-620, black porcelain enamel grill also comes with six stainless steel burners, rated at 60,000 BTUs, each having its own individual ignition control.
Similar to other Summit gas grill models, the Weber Summit E-620 has a 12,000 BTU flush-mounted side burner and stainless-steel Flavorizer bars.
Also similar to other grills in the Summit family, the E-620 has two front-locking caster wheels and two swivel casters on the back wheels, so the grill may be moved for convenience or locked into place. This larger model also comes with the same six tool holders, but two battery-powered handle lights and a center-mounted thermometer.
The LP version of the Summit E-620 does not include the propane tank, but does offer a built-in fuel gauge and enclosed tank storage area. The natural gas version will come with the standard ten-foot flexible hose. Cooking grates are also Weber’s standard 9.5 millimeter stainless steel rods. A Weber cookbook of recipe suggestions and Weber’s Limited Warranty also come with the purchase of the Summit E-620 gas grill.

Five-star reviews claim that the E-620 Summit propane gas grill is worth the purchase price almost $2,000. If you are looking for a bargain, the natural gas version of the Summit E-620 is cheaper to operate and you may find the price of the grill reduced by up to $500. However, be sure you have professional installation of natural gas connected to your house for safety reasons, if you choose the NG version.
The Summit E620 is a relatively new member of the Summit grill family, so few reviews are available, but at time of this writing there were no negative reviews available from consumers. Those that had commented on their purchase were pleased with the grill and Weber’s customer service.
