Weber Summit Grill Centers

by | May 4, 2015

Weber added two Grill Centers to compliment the Summit line of gas grills in 2011. Both of these units are Weber’s concept in an effort to complete an outdoor kitchen atmosphere.

All Summit Grill Centers and Grill Centers with Social Area come with a full-size Weber Summit 670 gas grill cooking system. The Summit S-670 and Summit E-670 may also be purchased separately, without the Grill Centers.

Reviews of these grills will be offered at a later time in a separate article. For purposes of this overview, the focus will remain on the assorted versions of the Summit Grill Center features and uses as it relates to the new trend in outdoor grilling. Because the Summit Grill Centers are relatively new on the market, there are no customer reviews available. The following is an overview of both the Weber Summit Grill Centers and the Weber Summit Grill Centers with Social Area.

Weber Summit Grill center in BlackThe Summit Grill Center has a width from right to left of just over ninety-one inches, and a depth of thirty inches, in a rectangular shape. The single unit also has eight adjustable stainless-steel legs and two enclosed storage areas. Each cabinet has two adjustable stainless steel wire shelves for handy storage of items needed while grilling, such as a pizza stone, condiments, or other accessories and grilling supplies. The left-hand storage area also has a steel paper towel holder. The top counter of each cabinet is stainless-steel work surfaces.

The Grill Centers, like the Summit family of grills is offered with your choice of enameled Black or Stainless Steel. In addition to selecting your choice of color, the Grill Centers also give consumers a choice between natural gas or liquid propane fuel. The natural gas version comes with the typical ten-foot hose; the liquid propane fueled version does not come with a propane tank, however, there is a tank storage area and front-mount precise fuel gauge.

Regardless of the color and fuel type you prefer, the Grill Centers come with a full-size, built-in Summit 670 gas grilling system, complete with all the features built into the Center including:

  • Tuck-Away Rotisserie System
  • Sear Station Burner
  • Dual-Ring Side Burner
  • Stainless steel Flavorizer Bars
  • Six stainless 60,000 BTU-per-hour input burners
  • Snap-Jet individual burner ignition system

The Summit Grill Center turns your outdoor grill into ample space to spread out and store grilling accessories and tools, while providing additional surface space to the standard cooking area. The concept is new from Weber as an innovative way of presenting a complete outdoor kitchen, offering much more than the stand-alone outdoor grill. The Summit Center is not mobile, so choose your preferred spot for the unit before assembly. I was also not able to find a cover for the Grill Center. Summit Grill Centers are not yet available anywhere I could find except at Weber.com.
